Carlisle's Bridal was a long-standing locally owned and operated bridal shop that was famous throughout the Pittsburgh area and located in the Ross Towne Center shopping plaza in the Ross Township area of the North Hills of Pittsburgh. It closed its doors in 2021.
Carlisle Bridal, alleged by its last owner to be the oldest bridal shop in the US, first opened business in 1888 on Pittsburgh North’s Side, where it was for more than 100 years. The store moved to the Strip District before settling in Ross 10 years ago.
Sadly, it appears that the COVID-19 pandemic played a part in Carlise's Bridal having to close its doors for good since most proms and special occasions were canceled that year leaving the store with unsaleable inventory. Other reasons contributed as well.
