Pittsburgh Leads Nation In Best City For Beer Drinkers, again!

Talk about a dubious honor, but one in which we Pittsburghers - and by extension, us North Hillsers - take great pride in having bestowed upon us: we are No. 1 in the nation one it comes to beer drinkers.

Perry Hilltop Citizens Council receives grant to improve Perry Hilltop property
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf announced nearly $8 million in Keystone Communities Program grants for 51 projects in 30 counties across Pennsylvania, including six in the Pittsburgh metro, the Pittsburgh Business Times reports.
Across the North Hills of Pittsburgh, Perry Hilltop Citizens Council Inc received $132,900 for renovating a three-story mixed-use structure at 2115 Perrysville Ave.
According to PBT, the funding supports towns and cities with initiatives that create growth and stability in their neighborhoods while encouraging partnerships between the public and private sectors, Wolf said in a prepared statement.
“These projects will build stronger communities, attract new residents and businesses and boost the commonwealth’s economy,” Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolfe announced.

Wingstop returns to Pittsburgh with a location planned for Ross Township

Wingstop returns to Pittsburgh Monday with a store opening in Plesant Hills. Ross Township will get one at some point next year. The popular chicken wing restaurant chain has announced plans to open a new location in Ross Township, at what appears to be the McKnight-Siebert Shopping Plaza, since the address given for this expansion is 4855 McKnight Rd, reports the Pittsburgh Business Times.
